We believe an organization needs a universal infrastructure to manage its assets, just as the Internet became the universal infrastructure to manage its communications.

We are building this infrastructure step by step. Its first implementation is the Symmetric Accounting Journal: a lightweight, human-readable, plain-text ledger-cli that records events in a balanced way. Open, portable, and durable, it can be stored anywhere, versioned with Git, and exchanged between any systems.
